Customer Success Stories

Fixing the Broken Mirror

Of the many customer success stories, we always think of this one. A marketing agency from San Antonio, Texas, was looking for 150 stylish handheld mirrors with their client’s logo printed on the middle of the handle. We checked with a few factories and proposed a black ABS model, which is sleek-looking and sturdy. After reviewing the sample with their client, the customer decided to purchase with us.

Knowing that a mirror is fragile, we factored it in and ordered extra pieces from the manufacturer. However, some mirrors were broken during shipping. After reviewing the photo evidence, we quickly replaced the mirrors at our cost.

A month and a half later, the customer ordered the same mirror again, doubling the quantity this time. We played it safe, as not only did we pack in extra mirrors, but we also used more bubble wrappers and reinforced packaging at our cost. A few days later, we received an email from the customer saying that the shipment arrived safe and sound.

Color-print that Clip

We have many customer success stories about our quick problem-solving, but we love this one most. An online store brand was developing a wood clip product, so they contacted us. We got in touch with the manufacturers we regularly work with. They said they needed to custom-make the clip due to its slim shape for a longer lead time.

Considering the customer’s order quantity and urgent deadline, we explored other channels, including trade fairs and personal contact. We zeroed in on two manufacturers who supply a closely matching option. After seeing the sample photo and virtual proofing, the customer agreed to adopt a slightly different profile for the clip.

We also suggested that the customer consider a color-printed logo instead of a laser-printed one. We hired a specialized decorator who applied a sealer to print a color-true, no-bleed logo. The customer was satisfied to see the pre-production sample.

Packaging the clips is tricky because they are lightweight but easily take up a lot of space. Although the customer didn’t seem to care about packaging, we knew a messy pile of clips would cost them a high air shipping cost. To prevent this, we asked the manufacturer to sort the clips into neat, smaller packaging at our expense. As a result, we helped the customer save 35% on air shipping, and the customer was happy.

Custom-made Graduation Souvenir Customer Success Stories #3

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of a university in the Northeast was sourcing for a science-themed graduation souvenir. The main idea was to combine a Galileo thermometer and a globe.

We did a quick search with our suppliers and found no readily-made product. We saw on Amazon that a few brands sell similar gift sets for a hefty price with no option for customization. Therefore, we suggested that the customer do a custom project.

We quickly finalized the product specification and ordered the thermometers, globes, and wooden bases from different suppliers.

We worked closely with the wooden base supplier for customization. That included beading the edge, drilling a leveled indentation to hold the Galileo thermometer and a ball-shaped indentation to hold the globe, and laser graving the text on the base.

We also asked the globe supplier to remove the stand and provide us with the globes.

Finally, we integrated the parts, took photos of the end product, and sent them to the customer. The customer happily approved it.

The Galileo thermometer graduation souvenir is a testament, among many custom projects, that we listen to our customer’s needs and wants and deliver success with the help of a resilient, flexible supplier network.
